An Analysis of Stress Distribution in a Spline Shaft Subjected to Cycilc Impulsive Load

In this paper the effect of engagement length, number teeth, amount applied load, wave propagation time, cycles, and initial crack length on principal stress distribution, velocity propagation, cyclic growth rate in a spline coupling subjected to torsional impact have been investigated analytically experimentally. It was found that stresses induced due loading are higher than with high percentage depends cycles total time. Also increasing teeth reduces (40%) and(25%) respectively for from (0.15 0.23) (8 10). while other parameters (amount length) increase at root tooth (37% when load rises KN 11KN) (62% wavepropagation time (0.5 1).
